A quick word about plumbers
Today, the wonderful Miss Pollard, Dominic's beloved teacher stopped me for a quick word. Would I, or Chris, be able to help out with the plumbing in the Reception class's toilet she wondered? It appears that they have been discussing mummies and daddies and what they do all day while the little centres of the universe are at school. Many did not seem to know, but Dominic's hand apparently shot into the air and he happily informed everyone that both of his parents are plumbers and able to fix any toilet or sink as required. What is going on in his head???? Of all the things in the world he could have chosen, why plumbing???? Comments/advice/counselling would be welcome.

Glad to see that the phrase "Servicing an old boiler" has not been mentioned. D'oh!
It's sound career advice, clearly. He's been listening in to Radio 2 items about the goldmine that is plumbing and has taken it upon himself to steer you both on a wiser course.
And, you have to admit, it is a more useful contribution to society than many a job (see how I just stopped short of mentioning pharmaceuticals??)
Perhaps Professor Plum should consider looking out for the candlestick in his conservatory....
