I haven't been to Edinburgh Castle for years and it was much better than I remembered. Blue skies and entertainments suitable for small children helped of course. Various vantage points offer excellent views of the city. I think you can see the Bass Rock off in the distance. The kids enjoyed a puppet show, some short plays written for children and hunting for easter eggs as well as the following:
Sitting on a cannon is not an every day opportunity.....
Juggling and having a go at plate spinning entertained the troops.....
A swift visit to the crown jewels, the stone of destiny.... and the gift shop!
