Trip to Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry

Last weekend we went to Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry. We set out on the train. The hoody brothers are ready for action armed with fruit.

Maddie is cuting it up waving at everyone
Owen and Laurie relax on the steam train round the museum while Kate and Shona relax in a Greek Taverna discussing Greek literature.
The museum is right by Manchester's new skyscraper, Beetham Tower. Its claim to fame is it is the tallest residential building in Europe. I found this out by logging onto SkyscraperNews.com , proving there is a website for everything.

Here's the Beetham Tower on my favourite nerdy skyscraper site! I like this set and I'm sure Chris will enjoy these ones.

Thank you for the information about the Beetham Tower. I had taken Australian guests into Manchester and when they asked about the building that sticks out like a sore thumb, I had no answer. I've now forwarded on the information. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
