City of Birds

I'm having a bit of bother managing to blog pictures except in collages but here goes.

One of Max's highlights of the holiday was a trip to the City of Birds, one of those place where they fly eagles and vultures about over your head. This was a pretty good show we thought, despite the odd delay caused by an AWOL vulture and a hawk with stagefright.

I was really pleased with the photographs but Max was equally pleased with having a parrot on his arm so here is a photo for each of us from said trip. Add to that the fact that now I've got home I'm not too sure if the pelicans were pelicans and the condors were condors and so here is very definitely a picture of a vulture hobbling on by.

During this hour long show, Max and Chris watched the birds, Dominic whined about being thirsty and hungry (not big on nature, our Dom) and I took photographs and watched Madeleine eat stones, totally oblivious to all the birds flapping about just above her head. Posted by Picasa
