This is a common insect which Max and I found in the garden yesterday. I didn't know what it was, so like the the good teacher I used to be, rather than admitting to my ignorance, I suggested we go and look it up on our insect wall chart.
Do you know what it is without having to look it up?? (and no, it isn't a couple of fake eyelashes!)
