What is it about friends of ours wanting to leave the country? If we were given to introspection, we could get a little paranoid. Instead, we talked about all the funny things people have left us and decided to commemorate them in the blog.
First there was Chris going home to New Jersey. Well he only went home, met the woman of his dreams, married her, became a physics teacher, bought a house, had a little boy. Probably the right decision then. He left us the stereo, bottom right, which we use every day.
Then Jared and Sibyl and the mini-Jones' went to live in Sydney. They didn't have the excuse of going home - indeed you might have been forgiven for thinking they were running away, not least from the weather. They left us an exercise bike, two push bikes (little used, at least by me!) and two really bugging - sorry lovable - cats. We ignore them every day.
And now Camille has gone back to Darwin to be close to family and enjoy life after Astra Zeneca. If she had had any cats, perhaps she would have left them with us too, but no, instead she has left us the world's largest barbecue, pictured here, in the rain. We are less likely to use this on a daily basis than some other left-over items, but Chris is planning on using it on Boxing Day to barbie a turkey so I don't think that this will be the last photo I take of it.
To absent friends, With love from us both.

Ah the BBQ! It is a good one and I hope it work's well for you. What I forgot to leave is the Weber cookbook that goes with it and explains how to us it like an oven. Hmmmm! If you want hints, call me.
