For a Christmas at home, we swapped packing multiple presents into an impossibly full car and crossing our fingers that we had picked a good time of day to travel 200 or so miles to Edinburgh, for a marginally more leisurely run up to festivities and an increased need to decorate the house in proper style.
Chris, Dominic and Max made excellent salt dough tree decs which were then painted and varnished and all three children and I made a Snowman poster for the kitchen wall. Maddie showed a strong liking for glitter.
It took mum to come down, however, and try out santa's stockings for size before we really knew that the festive season was upon us! Ho, ho, ho.
