This is a face I made at the Manchester City Art Gallery last week. We took our sprogs and our visitors from Clare - Mark, Maria, William and Daniel - there and also for a banquet in Chinatown.
The gallery was great - all the children coped with being whizzed by the Pre-Raphelites and we were all quite taken with a live restoration of a damaged canvas being carried out in one of the rooms.
From there we went into the new section and everyone enjoyed all the hands on activities - all really well thought out and offering something for everyone.

Leaving the gallery, we stepped into Chinatown to expose our children to a banquet. The food was good and spicy, but the inclusion of chips immediately dampened any interest four small boys might have had in trying out some new tastes. Still, Dominic ate a duck pancake and the egg fried rice went down well so as a first try it wasn't too bad. And then it was back home on the train, kids to bed and silly adults playing Singstar into the small hours. A good day out/evening in.
