Part of being at home with the Braithwaites involves spending vast amounts of time in the kitchen. Like most kitchens, this one looks out onto our garden. At the minute it is raining (again). Anyway, as a result of my sink-bound condition, I have been able to spot this Song Thrush who has come to live in our garden it seems. According to one web site I have visited, these have been in serious decline so it is particularly pleasing to have one (or two I think) to watch each day. Another effect of being at home with the Braithwaites is that everything needs to be explained to the small ones and so we have been looking up a bird book I found, faded and dusty, in the shelves in the spare room. It says that for birds, tinned cat food is a gourmet treat. Haven't tried it yet but as soon as I can think of somewhere to put it where the birds can get it but the three moggies can't, I'll be testing it out.
Yup. It's all happening here you know.
