Now we are six

On Saturday, Dominic had his sixth birthday. We had a fairly quiet family day as his football party was booked for the Sunday. He got lots of great presents and in the early evening we had a familiy Chinese take-away which was a great success. Dominic mastered chopsticks for the first time and they enjoyed some home decorated fairycakes with never going out candles which I bought by mistake in Florida but have been a big hit. After that we settled down en famille for an episode of Dr Who - his present from Alan and Scott.

On Sunday, Granny and Grandpa joined us for the aforementioned football party. It was a great success and both boys tried very, very hard. Competitive? The Braithwaites? As Dominic would say, "Oh my!"

So what can we say about Dominic now he is six? I don't think he needs a full profile for posterity but here are a few key facts about him at the minute:
When he grows up he thinks he will be a vet in China.
Or an artist.
He knows the French word for shark.
His favourite football team changes every week.
His brother drives him nuts but his sister walks all over him.
He likes Harry Potter, the Lemony Snickett books and Doctor Who.
He is an opinionated, loud, demanding little perfectionist.
And just lovely.
