In other news

Here is the full glory of Max's sunflower, albeit a little brightened up by me. I took it with the very nice zoom lense that Chris brought back from Miami last week.
And in the interests of record keeping, here are a few notes on recent Braithwaite activities.
Swimming news: Dominic has swum a length of the pool on one breath and Max has had his first go at swimming without arm bands. As he has only had four lessons, we are pretty impressed. Maddie is too young for lessons yet - and indeed hates the water - but she did manage to circumnavigate the pool on Saturday morning before I could stop her.
Tennis news: On Sunday morning we all went to play tennis in Didsbury with the Bevans and the Browns. Notwithstanding our group drinking session the afternoon/night before, all the adults were ready for a 9.15 start followed up by lunch and a walk. Dominic wasn't bad at tennis at all; Max can't do it and just ran about instead; Maddie practised being a ball-girl. Best laugh was Pete trying to play with his two-year old limpet son standing on the middle of the base line.
School & Pre-school news: Despite a couple of wobbles from both Max and Maddie, we are entering our second month fairly tear and trauma free. Dominic still delightful at school and domineering at home. Heigh ho.
