Behind the scenes at the museum
Stop. Rewind a week. I forgot to blog about our excellent trip to the Royal Ontario Museum last weekend and I love these photos so here they are.
We joined the ROM (as it is known) as members for a year which will pay for itself in two visits and I think we'll be there lots. It is bang in the middle of Toronto and full of kid-orientated activities so we may even be able to drag them to a view adult-friendly things (like shops or a meal in Chinatown) with a trip to the ROM as a bribe.
Highlights include tunnels to crawl in, touching skulls, snake-skin and live walking sticks (stick insects to you Brits), dino-digging and really very nice food in the cafe. The children were less impressed than I by one of Marie Antoinette's dresses which we insisted on visiting as it was not a permenant exhibit - but they coped.
