Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Very often as a family we discuss the proper use of the word irony. One of the rationales for coming to the UK for Christmas was to get away from snow bound Canada. 3 months of snow on the ground can get a little old after a while. We arrived in Edinburgh on the 17th December and it has snowed constantly since. It hasn't snowed in Oakville. It is due to snow 2 feet before we return. Is that irony...? I will let you decide.

Since we got back we (more specifically I) have been very lazy, featuring late nights and long lies. We have caught up with lots of old friends and family. Wednesday was supposed to be a day trip to Falkirk that was cancelled because of snow. Instead I tried to get the kids to build a snowman in the garden. Construction activities halted relatively quickly and we played Snow Wars© instead (copyright Dominic Braithwaite). Above are some picture from the front line. Like traditional wars we had I and II. I am pretty sure the Allies won both

Santa comes tonight!!
