The fish were acquired yesterday after an amusing trip to the pet shop. Max only wanted transparent fish - they have to live in packs - so we have 3 of them. They are see-through fish. His father is unimpressed. Then we have two male guppies. Rainbow is one, chosen and named by Maddie. Finally we also have a ghost shrimp and a catfish which swims upside down. Dominic named those two.
More fish news soon (inevitably).
In other news, despite going out to collect an armchair and lots of fishies, three hours before feeding 27 people, we had a very enjoyable almost-Burns-night last night. The haggis was actually pretty tasty and the Cullen Skink was excellent. It was a good day for fish really...

I don't think Rainbow is going to be long for this world.
Just as well Rainbow came with a 14 day guarantee. Although that may not appease Maddie. I'm already thinking up a good one liner about finding out what's st the end of the Rainbow... ;)
