Really it's not easy to take a photo through plexiglass of moving 10/11 year olds. Honest.
Anyway, Dominic's team opened their new winter indoor league with a convincing 7 to 2 victory. After establishing a 5 goal lead they were only allowed to shoot from distance and there were other goals that were disallowed.
Dominic and I had a chat about this policy on the way home. He didn't think much of it. They don't do that in the Premier League. His very words!
I think it is nice though and have seen similar rules put in place in Max's soccer and baseball teams. Max even scored once and turned round and immediately apologised, which was quite funny to see.
Dominic, as first pick goalie, had an excellent first half with some dramatic saves made. Then he was strong in defence in the second half too. It flew by - two 20 minute halves with lots of action because the ball couldn't go out. Only down side.... it was 9.45 before I had my first drink. And it is FRIDAY, you know!
BTW - a better day on the fish front. No more fatalities although Max and Maddie did sit in front of the tank (much in the manner of the two kids in The Cat in the Hat - who also had a fish, it occurs to me) for quite a while. They were monitoring Stevie G, our Ghost Shrimp, in case he tried to eat Bob, or Gerald or Fuzznoodles the Second. He didn't. Yet.
