Like deer in headlights

Dominic and I just drove home from soccer and caught these two deer in our headlights at the top of the drive. They looked at us. We looked at them. And then we left them in peace.

Dominic played a blinder tonight. He played the first half in goal, looked great up front in the second half AND, when our goalie was carried off after just making a save at 3 all with 1 min 30 secs to go, Dominic went back in goal and saved a top corner shot which would have been a certain winner. GO DOM!!! He was like a local hero at the end.

Max's team also won 4 nil again. Seems to be their favourite scoreline.

Tomorrow is an all day swimming experience for the boys and their Dad. Max goes in the backstroke: seeded 5th out of 70 boys! That's an achievement in itself really. Maddie and I plan a more relaxed day including dog walking and going to see the Arrietty movie. We missed it at the Edinburgh Festival but hope to catch it tomorrow.
