Quiet

Ahhh. There is nothing like the sound of silence after three kids have gone to bed and there is just us two and our books and some red wine and the fire.

We had another big day of swimming as Dominic took to the water at 7.25am warming up for his Championship events. He was feeling a bit low after a loss at soccer last night and Max's exploits and achievements... but he had a fabulous time. He and his friends came third in the Medley relay which means he gets a medal. Yay! Then he won his heats in the backstroke and breaststroke, improving his times in each, and then he improved his time in the 50 free finally going under 37 secs and coming second in that heat. He has made brilliant progress and was in the top ten for everything with his best result in the backstroke. And he was smiling again.

Then this afternoon he started his own sports reporting blog. It's called Eat, sleep, talk, sport and he has started with his report on today's match between Liverpool and Man Utd. It is nearly all his own work. I tried very hard not to edit it, but he was ready to leave the auto-correct of Utd. And I really didn't think a report full of Man 'Nut', although funny, was quite what he was aiming for!
