Not Easter Monday

Although Easter is clearly a celebrated holiday over here, there's no mention of Good Friday or Easter Monday. The kids went back to school today after an amazing 5 days off school. Saving it all up for those 11 weeks in the summer. Hurrah!

Today's picture is of Madeleine's pea which she grew in science class. She is going to be a vet or a doctor or a scientist. Or a dog walker. Or maybe a dog trainer. It became very difficult to keep a straight face at that point.

In other news, one of the fish appears to have had a baby. This is a highly unexpected development but I may have killed it when changing the water. Time will tell. If it lives, we will need to do some googling about fish breeding and gestation periods. I have some unanswered questions.
