Chris has taken the boys to a soccer tournament so Maddie and I are home alone. She has filled the void left by her brothers by talking. Constantly.
Maddie is going to be a teacher/artist/musician when she grows up. She is practising the teaching part now. I am being cast in her witterings either as a pupil, or her sister, or sometimes as her - while she is someone else. Punctuating her almost constant chatter are her charming corrections of my pronunciation and word choices. I am no longer to call tea, tea. It is dinner. Tea sounds like I am offering her a drink. And she would prefer me to speak properly. I was pulled up on my pronunciation of the word 'calm' yesterday. This is just the tip of Maddie's chatter iceberg. So I am attaching a picture of her at her best. Note how she sleeps outside her duvet but with a sweater on to keep warm. She is a funny girl. Come back Dominic and Max. All is forgiven!!
