I was asked if we were celebrating our Britishness this weekend by cladding the house in Union Jack bunting. This was my pithy response. The pic is Maddie at dress rehearsal yesterday.

Union what… I don’t live on a house boat but yes, I will be raising the Union Flag on the Braithwaite flagpole this weekend. The Braithwaite children will be gathered to sing the national anthem and saluting during the ceremony. There is a small part of this barbaric backwater that still belongs to the motherland.
