Summer is back

Day One of the summer holidays was a bit trying. Firstly, it pissed it down in true south Manchester style. I woke up to the sound of the rain falling and was transported back five years in an instant. I should probably have taken the kids to the cinema or something but for some reason I imagined they'd like a day hanging about the house after all those days at school. I was wrong. It was a squabble-fest.

Thankfully the sun returned today. We walked the dogs, lunched at Subway (Dominic ENJOYED a sandwich shock!) and chilled out with lots of friends at the outdoor pool. The children then amazed me by going back to the indoor pool for swim training WITHOUT MOANING. And while Maddie swam the boys played in the pool and while the boys swam, Maddie played in the pool.

So thumbs up for Day Two. And here is a pretty lily from our garden :-)
