Saturday was... all about swimming. It rained but notwithstanding Mum, Chris and I took the kids to watch them swim at Skyline. It was a day of personal bests (yay!). Kudos should really go to Maddie at this point. She improved her freestyle by 7 secs and her backstroke by 4. She coped with swimming in an under 10 race and coming last but not by a long way. If she had been born 2 days later she would have counted as an under 6 swimmer this summer and made the championship final in back and freestyle. But she is 7 and counted as 7 so we didn't do time trials in case she was put off. We are seriously wondering where the swimming gene comes from. Some Braithwaite or Taylor somewhere had some swimming talent - surely?
