Going back to Clare - 21st January 2006

Last weekend we made it back to Clare for the weekend and stayed with Maria, Mark, William, Daniel, Rocky, Star and Merlin. It was Daniel's fourth birthday and he had a party in the village hall. I think every child from the village (and most of the surrounding villages) was invited!!

Clare is still fantastic and it was great to see John the greengrocer and Mark the butcher. We even sneaked a look over the fence at the old house. There are quite a few changes in the village, the most notable being the opening of an Indian restaurant and takeaway. We don't even have that level of civilization in Bramhall.

On the way home we stopped off at Ickworth and caught up with Jack, Geoff and Michelle.
