Dominic is learning to write and is taking it very seriously. He is so intent on improving his handwriting that by the time he has moved past the first letter in his spelling homework, he has sometimes entirely forgotton what the word he was supposed to be writing was.
We have had words. I have pointed out that spelling and handwriting are two different things and that handwriting is forming the letters properly whereas spelling is about knowing which letters to write.

Is Dominic impressed with this information? Is he heck. At the moment he has been told to write smaller and so that is what he is doing. And after all, coming from the woman who flatly refused to believe her mother that milk came from cows when she had seen on the telly that it quite clearly came from factories, any complaints I might make are probably a bit rich. Instead, I think I will just sit back and admire his handwriting...... which I have to say, has impressed me quite a lot!

Tell Dominic that Great Aunt Myra is impressed too.
