This one's for you Dad.
This is a tiny part of the miniature circus at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota in Florida. The Ringling family ran the biggest circus in the world (?) in the early 20th century and in their heyday took over the Barnum circus. The head of the family settled in Florida but lost nearly all his cash in the crash in 1929. The estate includes the family mansion and an art gallery, but more interestingly a circus museum and even more interestingly, an amazing miniature model of the circus as it was. It includes 7000 seats, an incredible number of people, all the circus performers, their animals, the crowd and goodness knows what else. The make-up tent was my favourite, but this is the best photo I could take sans-flash.
It was great. And that really is it for the Florida blogs now!
