Max and the Beanstalk (sorry sunflower)

Months and months ago Max and Auntie Sandra planted some sunflower seeds from a magazine she had given him.

Surprisingly a few of them grew. Less surprisingly, most of them got eaten by the tremendous snail population in our garden.

This is the one surviving plant and it is clearly a king amongst sunflowers - if you like your sunflowers very long that is.

Max and I are both amazed that it is finally looking like flowering and he is completely staggered by how tall it is. It is even taller than Daddy you know.
