Club Penguin

More than he wants a mobile phone, a computer in his room, an iPod, a cash present or possibly even a Nintendo DS (sadly all things our beloved 6 year old has written on his list for Santa) Dominic wants to be a member of Club Penguin. Ergo - so does Max.

For the uninitiated (many I hope) this is an on-line virtual world for children where they can play games, dress up, design their own igloos and keep pets - puffles - in various colours. You can have a fairly good time for free, but if you really want to go shopping and get lots of puffles in different colours you need to be a member. On Saturday, Max, Dominic and Dominic's friend Max (as opposed to Max's friend Max - help, there are just too many Max's in our lives) all sat at the kitchen table, each with their own laptop, waddling around looking after their puffles and visiting each other's igloos.

I'm fairly sure it is pretty good clean fun and it is certainly more interactive than watching the telly. And lets face it, it's a lot more acceptable than the rest of Dom's Christmas list!!
