Where the wild things are #2
Mmm. It works something like this. Max finds a bug, we all go "urrg", we put it somewhere that he can look at it every so often, and then a bit later I decide to take a photograph. If I was a good mother, I would also sit down with Max and use the internet to find out what these things are. Maybe next week.
So today's exhibit A was found on the kitchen floor. It is a restful kind of creepy crawlie that didn't seem to mind spending the day in a pyrex dish being gawped at by an interested 5 year old. It wasn't overly impressed by the leaf Max brought it mind you. And exhibit B was another drowning victim in the local death trap (insect death only thank you), our pool. That said, I left it on the grass sitting on the pool net and after a while....it wasn't there anymore. Maybe I'll tell Max it's a Fakeitmortis bug.

They are a caterpillar and a Japanese beetle - more commonly known as a jitterbug!
