Bridges

So we have arrived in Edinburgh.

The journey over was either very very efficient or a very tense affair of traffic jams and tight connections. Despite all of that we arrived as planned and the children behaved fantastically for the entire 15 hours.

So today I took boy 1 and boy 2 to see some engineering heritage. It left them cold on many levels, not just the wintery weather Edinburgh is suffering right now. Edinburgh has now had more snow than Toronto this year which has to be something of a first (today I went for a run over to the Meadows and got caught in a blizzard). As we drove across the Forth Road Bridge I told Dominic that is falling down. I don't think he really got that this is lengthy degradation and was expecting as disaster movie like experience as we crossed. Like father like son I guess.

Anyway we are having a great holiday thus far. The kids are physically attached to their grandparent's Wii. I have been accused of being a horrible parent because we don't have a Wii at home and they have to suffer a PS3. The girl is majoring on her speciality - charming various relatives.

More to follow over the course of the holiday period...
