A good idea at the time

Okay so I thought it was our turn to do some entertaining with our local friends and that it would be a good idea to have a kind of a Burns Supper. It's my fault. Let's get that clear.

It's my fault that on Saturday we are having 8 or 10 adults over and their 8 or maybe 9 kids for a Scottish night.

It's not my fault that in this country its illegal to import haggis. But perhaps I ought to have checked that out a little earlier.

Still, the internet is a wonderful thing and I have managed to acquire 2 small haggi, slightly worryingly calling themselves bangers and very worryingly having been made over here.

I'm already consoling myself that no one will want to eat the damned stuff anyway and have decided to serve it as a canape rather than in the proper manner with mash, carrots and rutabaga (Yes! Really! Look it up! Rutabaga!)
