I thought I'd start an occasional series of the questions that Dominic and Max like to throw at us, firstly to keep a record of their phenomenal daftness and secondly to see if anyone out there has any helpful hints to share. So here are a couple of this week's questions to parents to get the ball rolling:
Question 1
Dominic: "Mum. Why do some of the plants in the world have prickly leaves?"
Basically I said I'd get back to him and am still thinking it through.
Question 2
Max: "What are these?"
If I say that there were two of them, he found them in the bath and I don't have any, I assume that will give the game away. Anyway, fortunately, Dominic was on hand to tell him that they were his "Bobs" (this is a term that was adopted here when I was faced with the question a little while ago by Dominic and, as per usual, bumbled through the answer). What I hadn't bargained for was Dominic's next question:
Question 3
Dominic: "But Mum, what are Bobs for?"

I'd leave that answer to Chris.
Oooh on question 1. Some plants have prickly leaves because they need to be protected from the cats and other animals that try to eat them.
Good luck Kate!
Your story did make me laugh when I read this story though...
