Inside the house, there are many fantastic painted walls and ceilings. This is the Apotheosis of Julius Caesar and is of significance because it is reproduced on the ceiling of Dracula's bride's bedroom in my castle.
I loved this sculpture. As Max would say: "How clever is that?"
And I also found some of the quirky pieces of antiquity that the Devonshires had acquired during Grand Tours and the like, very amusing.
