At home with the Braithwaites

Big news from the Canadian Braithwaites, we are soon to become American Braithwaites. Above is a picture of the property we bought this week. For a someone who has only purchased a house in England the US experience is completely alien. Anyway some amazing work from Kate and Gloriann, our superb realtor, for finding this gaff. I managed to take this suitably enigmatic shot with my iPhone. Here is one of the back yard as they say in these parts.

We managed to score the house in 2 days of manic viewing. I was lucky as I only had to review the short list. At times it felt like we were destined not to succeed. Sunday's drama was a cancelled flight, a reroute through Newark, a very late flight, an emergency landing, a very long bathroom trip and a "through the night" drive to Pennsylvania. We did it though.

In other news, I ran the oakville 10km and finished 101st across the line. Technically I had the 97th best time in 44m57s meaning I need to refine my starting technique. You can see the finishing results on http://www.mercedesoakville10k.com/ I really enjoyed the experience and I can't wait to do some more. I am currently thinking half marathon or a 10 miler. Good luck to everyone running the Broad Street run this weekend. Yes, I am officially a running bore and running obsessed.

Gotta go - landing
