Billy the Fish

Today the Braithwaite daily photo comes from Jennersville YMCA and is presented by Chris.

I spent most of the day at a swim meet with Dominic. Sadly Max couldn't make it because he hasn't quite recovered from bronchitis. He is expected to be back in the pool tomorrow.

Summer swim team generally involves sitting on a sun lounger while the boys diligently retrieve Diet Cokes from the snack bar. A great way to read, relax and top up the tan. The hardest part is remembering to get up to watch a race.

Winter swim team involves hanging around a concrete warehouse, sweating and sucking in chlorine fumes. That was today for 6 hours, with a hangover. It was worth it because Dom had a great meet with 2 personal bests and two podium finishes. I found a treadmill in the middle (Dom was events 14, 64, 74 & 84) and ran for 5 miles.

In other news the boys officially have the same size feet! I felt that an important fact to share. I have also got a Playoff Fantasy Football Team. The draft was a last night. This involved sitting around a neighbours dining table while my fellow competitors pondered over their selections. The selection took several hours hence the hangover. I went in with an unconventional approach which I think caught the challenges off-guard. At least they waited until my second pick before they started laughing. By all accounts I have a great tight-end!
