It's a hard enough life
Here are Dastardly and Mutley, sorry, Shaggy and Scooby, sorry, Nina and Lulu in the back of the jeep this morning. Hurrah for sunny January mornings.
Now. Nothing to do with the photo, but I wanted to record the 3 junior Braithwaites efforts at criticism this weekend.
Maddie has been working on a book report. The story has a winning title, 'My snow monsters do drink hot chocolate', and Maddie has identified that it has a beginning, a middle and an end. So it must be good.
Dominic was, as you would expect, a little more advanced in his Amazon review of Black Beauty. He wrote that the story was awesome, highly emotional and that he enjoyed the fact that it was told by the point of view of the horse. I was impressed, first that he read it, second that he loved it, and third that he knows about point of view.
But it is Max's comment on the movie Annie which Maddie and I watched yesterday that has amused me the most. Max was in the room throughout but when I checked he insisted he wasn't really watching it. 'And the music was terrible Mummy,' he said. 'It nearly burned my ears off.'
:-)
