This morning we entered into a formal parenting contract after being presented with this by our eldest son...
"The parents (Kate Braithwaite and Chris Braithwaite) are agreeing to a $3.50 weekly allowance to their eldest child (Dominic Braithwaite) This is provided he agrees to these expectations. He must be polite to both his siblings with only three mistakes a week. That would be if he was rude once strike one and 50 cent off his allowance. He must do everything he is asked by his parent when it is asked. Again the three-strike rule is in order. He cannot complain about going swimming, playing soccer, or going to drama. The three-strike rule is again in order. His parents can at anytime give him a strike. This cannot be undone. Dominic must get his allowance in cash every Sunday. He will get his first payment on July 1st 2012. If the payment is not made by that time his parents will have until Monday to pay him. If he is not given his allowance by that time his parents will owe him an extra 25 cents everyday. Example Tuesday $3.75, Wednesday $4.00, Thursday $4.25. This will keep going until he is given the amount his parents owe him. If he is given last weeks allowance with the interest next Sunday he will also have to be given that weeks allowance either then or on Monday."
