Museum of Scotland

On Tuesday we went to the Royal Scottish Museum with Auntie Fiona and my cousin Blair who, aged nearly 21, is really the ideal companion for little people. Every home should have one.

Since forever and a day, they have had fish in the splendid central hall of the old museum and it was Maddie's turn to be fascinated by them for the first time. They have also put Alan's favourite Totem Pole in this part now, so I respectfully took a photo of it too.

The newish science area occupied the kids for hours and I don't think Blair needed much encouragement to have a go at the Formula One racing drive. Dominic and I spent a long time trying to become successful energy ministers on an interactive game and Max enjoyed the robot name speller and hoisting himself up on the seat thingy pictured in the collage above.

Finally we had a wee look around the ground floor of the Museum of Scotland and found some splendid sixteenth century dressing up clothes. I'm inclined to say that Little Lord Fauntleroy has nothing on Max but I may be straying into the wrong century. Still, said it now.
