Escaping the eggs

Yesterday, Easter Sunday, we felt a pressing need to remove the children from the vicinity of their chocolate supply as we were literally grabbing the eggs off them as they tried to gobble them up in one sitting.

We went for a lovely walk in the woods up the road. Auntie Sibyl looked after her little acolyte, Madeleine,
and Chris and I played hide and seek with Dominic and Max.

This game really highlights the major differences in character between the two of them. Max is really good at it. Too good. He hides in impossible places, stays resolutely silent and is worrying difficult to find. Dominic is much less successful because he can't decide where to hide and tends to stand in clear view, thinking, wrongly, that you can't see his green and white stripey rugby shirt amongst all the trees and leaves. So in summary - Max is so sharp he is in danger of cutting himself and Dominic is an open book.
