Safari!
On Tuesday, my lovely Auntie Sandra (whose visit also allowed us to step out on Sunday night) and I took the children to Knowsley Safari Park. We did the amusement/rides first. It was cold. It was expensive. It was pretty ghastly really.
After lunch, however, things perked up a bit with the sealion show. I found exceedingly low expectations helped here and was surprised to discover that actually it seemed that the sealions did have fun and they did do a quite a few things - so it was worth humphing Madeleine up the stairs for.
Then, on to the safari. Dominic is not much of a one for animals but as I have never been to a safari park and was quite keen, his moans fell on deaf ears. I was very impressed to find a male lion heading straight for our car and having to stop for a camel crossing was a novel experience.
Best though - the baboons. They were all over the car and the kids were in stitches. We managed to get out with our windscreen wipers still attached and so overall, it was definitely worth the trip.

Alan thinks Granny and Grandpa took you to the Blair Drummond Safari Park and I thought, Dad and Shiela and I took you to the one at Longleat. Either we're both wrong or all that effort was in vain. Makes you think though.
Love Mum
Ouch. Although I can't remember a thing about either trip, I know you are right. Someone with as rubbish a memory as me, clearly needs a blog like this to help them have a clue what is going on!
