Our next day trip was on the bus to Alnwick Castle Gardens. It rained a bit but we were not put off. It has a fantastic tree house with rope bridges to cross, a maze and an interactive fountain area where little people who are already wet can get completely soaked to the skin and then shiver all the way back home on the bus. Happily no one got pneumonia as a result and it was voted 'best day out in the rain' by us all.
